Wow, that was quick

Here I am again, I tried to make another booking but he told me to hop on again, so here I am. I never really got around to telling you about our little cycling adventure. Well, we started cycling in Queanbeyan and the first couple of hills were a tiny little bit discouraging. I had no idea these hills were so steep because I usually drive around in a car or hang on for dear life on the back of a motorbike. But this was different indeed. Trying to make it to the top with all these cars driving past, not the best start. But as soon as we headed toward someones flat (Captain Flat or something) it wasn't as busy anymore. But most or the people that passed us in either direction couldn't help but think we were fools, some expressing it in less obvious ways than others :)
Once we got going we figured out the best ways of not losing luggage on the way. So out came the octustraps (spin elastiek) to strap down every loose bit.
We had to take breaks quit regularly, because the first day was pretty tough.
But right at the end of the day, after going through all sorts of emotions trying to withhold myself from throwing my bike off a cliff, we were welcomed to our days destination by Norvans sis Odette and his dad, for a Christmass feast. That was beautiful, and special.
We never had such luxury the next couple of days, but as my muscles grew and I fought my mental fight, I really started enjoying everything to the fullest;
The different smells of this beautiful country, the freedom of camping in national parks. Going downhill after you've given it your all to ride uphill first. Finding out that that really steep road you saw on the map is a downhill one, wow... That was cool. After a night in a pub in Majors creek, we had the most amazing ride down the valley, from the dusty dry roads and landscapes into the most lushious valley full of well fed cattle and peach orchards.
Training your body, four, five hours a day, what an experience.
After arriving in Moruya I spent two weeks with Bronnie, camping around and meeting lots of her lovely friends. So many stories to tell, still, but they will have to wait.
For now, I can tell you I'm enjoying my time in Mystery Bay, going to the beach, just down the road, everyday. I've helped Bronnie moving in and now I'm trying to make it all more homely for her to come back to. She's got loads of Pioneer stuff, meaning real antiques and beautiful fabrics. So I'm designing my heart out.
That's all for now, hope you enjoyed it and sorry to keep you English and Australian reading people waiting, love, fem

Home alone

Hi all,

Well, after two weeks of travelling around, camping in people's backyards and surviving the hottest day in history, we have found a new home for Bronnie. She's up in Noosa now so that leaves me home alone. Luxury, I can tell you that.
Bugger, time to go again, I'll make another booking for later this week, and I will spend the whole hour on a post, promise!

Best wishes for 2006

Hi all,

wereld is. Een vriendelijke zomer met luchtige dagen zonder zorgen en tot
slot de herfst vol metamorfoses of beauty, strength and hope"

Heel veel liefs uit central Tilba,

X Fem
