Nearly there
Hello all,
How are you? I'm good, crossed another ocean, flew through another sky, landed in Perth, Western Australia. Got a little jet-lagged on the way, somehow.
My last week in New Zealand was spent in Christchurch where I met up with some friends and we took a trip to Hanmer Spring, hot springs!
It was weird leaving New Zealand behind, because after such a long time, it is home.
But I havent forgotten about my other homes yet, so I'm on my way back to Holland.
Since I had to fly out of Sydney anyway and since thats only 5 (!) hours away from my sister and her husband in Nannup, I decided to go and visit them. They've just found a gorgious place to live: Little Bend.
They picked me up from the trainstation yesterday and they really did find a beautiful place. It's out in the bush... no mailman, no garbage collecting... only the sound of birds and bees. And some funny turky-ish birds that come here everyday, wanting to be fed.
It's nice to catch up and listen to eachothers endless adventures. Just so you know, back home, you'd better be prepared :)
Today we've picked chestnuts, just a job Sonja and Eric have been doing for a couple of weeks. It was fun and the scenery is beautiful. For me, it's still weird to realise I'm not in NZ anymore but Oz is nice too. Not a bad place to live at all.
I'm a tiny bit tired so I'm afraid the rest of the story will have to wait. Just let met tell you that we're going to a rally in the forest this weekend. Car racing... should be exciting, pity mr.tumnus isnt here anymore.
Oh and one more thing, I think I will take the train to Sydney, only three days and nights ;)))
My phone doesnt work here, no service and my nz phone number isnt mine anymore. So email is the only way now, I guess.
Hey, have a good day,
love, fem
