Je glipt weg
vorig jaar was je nog hier
deze plek, dit moment.
De laatste uren van je aanwezigheid
glippen onherroepelijk als water door mijn vingers heen.
Eigenlijk vertrok je al, beetje voor beetje.
Maar we hebben nog gepraat,
bewust afscheid genomen,
je een goede reis gewenst.
Nu ben je daar
en wij hier
Misschien voor eeuwig daar
en wij nog even hier

Tot ooit, hoewel je nooit ver weg voelt...

Hi! How are you all doing? I've been home for over a month now. It's summer, which is good, but city life isn't easy at all, after the extreme beauty and freedom, across a couple of oceans.
I've been visiting friends & family, working in my garden (both activities are the ones I missed most)and working in one of my old jobs. Did I forget to mention riding my bike, swimming in the lake and sunbathing?

Well, this is only a short note, to let you know I still use this website.

Hi!

How are you? Summer huh? Not really... But I'm here, safe and not so jetlagged, so far... I've had a really good flight, crazy hot & spicy noodles in Malaysia, managed to wash three spoonfulls down with lemon juice and slept through about 10.000 km of up in the air time. It was hard to leave the people and the places that I love in the Southern Hemisphere, but when I looked out of the window and saw those neat little patches of farmland, the odd windmill here and there, it did feel like coming home. Home is where you are, and I'm here now.

Thank you all for your support, your emails and friendship in whatever form you chose to express it, what is a person without friends. Very lonely indeed.
